man 25, arrested for unlawfull pocession of marijuana

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Tuesday arraigned a 25-year-old man, Kolawole Adebimpe at the Federal High Court in Ibadan, over unlawful possession of 4.2kg of marijuana. The prosecutor, Morakinyo Olusanya told the court that the defendant was caught in possession of 4.2kg of marijuana without lawful authority on Jan. 11 at about 4.00 p.m. Olusanya said that the incident happened at Ajibade village, Moniya of Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo state. He added that the offence contravened Section 19 of the NDLEA Act Cap. N30 Laws of Federation of Nigeria 2004. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. The prosecutor then asked for an adjournment to enable him tendered some exhibit found in possession of the defendant.   Justice Abimbola Obaseki-Adejumo adjourned the case to Thursday. (NAN)
