Rapper Young Dolph 'rushed to hospital after being shot' in broad daylight on busy Hollywood street

US rapper Young Dolph has reportedly been rushed to hospital after being shot in broad daylight at a busy Hollywood shopping area.
The Chicago-born star, 32, was allegedly gunned down outside the Loews Hotel near Hollywood Boulevard - where a number of high profile red carpet events are held - on Tuesday afternoon.
According to TMZ, police officers were nearby and responded immediately.

The LAPD told Mirror Celebs that they were unable to give out the name of the victim but confirmed a shooting had taken place.
They added that one person was detained but no arrests have been made so far.
"The condition of the victim is not known," they continued though TMZ reports that his injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
A section of the busy tourist spot was shut down following the incident.
It's not the first time the rapper - whose real name is Adolph Thornton Jr. - has had a brush with death. Back in February, he was on his way to his concert when more than 100 rounds were fired at his car.
